- fulbright thanksgiving 2026
Come one, come all!
Join the Fulbright Alumni Association of Iceland on November 22 at 13:00 at Kvennaheimilið Hallveigarstaðir for our Annual Thanksgiving Buffet & Charity Drawing. It will be a festive afternoon with all the staples, from turkey and stuffing to luscious pumpkin pie and hot apple cider. Comic-storyteller Dan Roh will host the event with his signature warm and light comedy. Event proceeds benefit a scholarship for an Icelandic student to travel to the U.S. to study.
Ticketing Information
Each admission ticket includes one free sponsored drawing ticket for donated prizes. All proceeds benefit a scholarship for an Icelandic student to travel to the U.S.
The drawing is a highlight of the afternoon, with a fantastic selection of prizes. This year you can win a weekend stay at Hótel Skúlagarður near Húsavík, a five-course meal at Sel by ÓX, alongside many other fabulous prizes that will be revealed at the event.
Past years' prizes have included everything from Iceland Symphony Orchestra tickets and whale watching tours to local spirits from Icelandic distilleries, patissier classes — and hula-hoop lessons!
Everyone is welcome, regardless of connection to Fulbright or the U.S.
