ABOUT ARTISTS EMERGE
Celebrating 20 years of Artists Emerge, AE is one of Canada’s most respected professional dance competitions, built on excellence, community, and unforgettable experiences. Since 2006, we’ve proudly welcomed over 23,000 dancers from across the country.
This anniversary season is our Legacy Year, and we have exciting new additions in store to celebrate two decades of passion, artistry, and emerging talent.

We know how important good critique is to a dancer, choreographer and their studio/company. AE hunts for the most respected, accomplished & knowledgeable personalities to sit on our judging panel.
Sheopatra
Movement Artist / Movement Activist Sheopatra (SHEstreet) was born and raised in Memphis, TN, and has spent the past decade in Los Angeles teaching and working professionally in the Entertainment Industry. Her credits include Snoop Dogg, Sting, Missy Elliott, Pharrell, Vogue World Hollywood, Chris Brown, Kehlani, Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, NLE Choppa & Daddy Yankee. Her work also includes countless TV shows, commercials, print ads, and brand partnerships such as Nike, Apple, Athleta, RedBull, AT&T, Pepsi, Liquid IV and the NAACP. Sheopatra uses her art as a form of self-expression to uplift and preserve her culture through her fearless community of dancers and sisterhood of movement.
Sheopatra’s work is rooted in self-expression, empowerment, and community. As the founder of THECouncil, an all-female collective, she has created a powerful refuge for Black and Brown women navigating the complexities of Hollywood’s dance industry. THECouncil, recently featured in the US Bank Culture Zine in The New York Times, stands at the intersection of dance, activism, and sisterhood - providing a fearless space for women and Movement Artists of all kinds to reclaim their narratives through movement.
Aidan Prince
Aidan Prince aka “BAHBOY,” became a professional actor and dancer at the young age of seven. He made national televised appearances as a featured guest on “The Ellen Show”, performed with Gwen Stefani, John Legend, Missy Elliott, Pharrell, Major Lazer, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and many more. Aidan has also worked with Nike, Disney, Nickelodeon, Target, H&M and more. Aidan is a Choreographer, was the Captain for GRaVyBabies and currently part of GRV.
