Samtökin 78 - Happiness Run
Have you always dreamed of running through confetti? Sweating with glitter on your face? Having Páll Óskar, Iceland's pop superstar, tell you that you're fabulous in your running gear? Samtökin '78 proudly presents the Happiness Run, which will take place on May 17, 2025, on the International Day Against Homo-, Bi-, and Transphobia. The Happiness Run is a 7.8 km street race through Elliðaárdalur valley, packed with fun events along the way.
Registration
Two distances are available, 7.8 km route and a 3 km fun run.
Registration fee is 5,000 ISK and children 12 years and younger is 1,500 ISK. Included in the registration is race entry, rainbow merch, bib number with timing chip, entertainment before the start and on the route.

Thursday and Friday, May 15th and 14th
On Thursday and Friday before the event, at the Samtökin 78 offices at Suðurgata 3, 101 Reykjavik.
Open from 11:00 am - 03:00 pm (11-15)
